Phyllis Zimbler Miller

Phyllis Zimbler Miller is a Los Angeles screenwriter (film and TV), book author, playwright, and former Mrs. Lieutenant who worked as a Department of the Army civilian in counterintelligence with the U.S. Army’s 66th Military Intelligence Group in Munich during the Cold War. She grew up in Elgin, Illinois, earning her B.A. in Journalism at Michigan State University and her M.B.A. in Finance at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Phyllis’ military writing has been awarded a Nicholl Fellowship quarterfinalist and an Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award semifinalist. She has been the co-host of a BlogTalkRadio military interview show and a member of the Department of Defense’s Bloggers Roundtable.

She is currently the co-host of the NEVER AGAIN IS NOW podcast about antisemitism on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts and she has blogged about antisemitism and the Holocaust at the Times of Israel.

Excerpts from her nonfiction Holocaust theater project www.ThinEdgeOfTheWedge.com – developed for students to educate about the Holocaust and to combat antisemitism – were featured in the U.S. Ramstein Air Force base Holocaust remembrance event held April 28, 2022.

Phyllis is a member of Women in Film, the Dramatists Guild, the Alliance for Jewish Theatre, the Association for Holocaust Organizations, and the Military Writers Society of America.
