Hilary Lyons

Hilary Bluestein-Lyons is a playwright, screenwriter, poet, stand-up comic, director, comedy improviser, and actor. She received a degree in Creative Writing (poetry) from the University of Arizona and an MFA in Writing for Stage and Screen from the New Hampshire Institute of Art. Her play, Level Up, was recently produced in the Rochester Fringe Festival. Tighten Your Borscht Belt, was a semifinalist with the O’Neill Playwrights Conference and is scheduled for a full production at the Lab Theatre in Tampa, FL this June. Several of her short plays will be produced by Black Sheep Theatre in Rochester, NY as part of this year’s Pride Festival. Hilary lives in Rochester, NY where she teaches scriptwriting, cinema studies, and improv, and draws her inspiration and sense of humor from her six kids, a very fat cat, a Yorkie and eleven chickens.
