Carol Weiss

Carol Weiss is an accomplished musical director, teacher, pianist and composer. She was music director for the ABC TV series General Hospital, vocal director for the Gershwin Trust's "Lady Be Good" cast album and a musical director at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, the Sacramento Music Circus, The Los Angeles Civic Light Opera, South Bay CLO, Santa Monica CLO and many other theatres in Los Angeles. The recipient of a Drama-Logue award, several ASCAP awards, and a presidential citation for excellence in teaching, Ms. Weiss has been a guest lecturer at UCLA, the National Association of Teachers of Singing and the Orange County High School of Performing Arts. She has worked with many well-known performers including: Jason Alexander, Steve Allen, Oba Babatunde, Scott Bacula, Hinton Battle, Theodore Bikel, Debbie Boone, Patrick Cassidy, Kate Flannery, Brad Garrett, Lou Gossett, Sam Harris, Teri Hatcher, George Hearn, Barry Manilow, Tommy Tune, George Wendt and Robin Williams.

In addition, Ms. Weiss has been the staff accompanist at thousands of auditions, including the ORIGINAL companies of: Beauty and the Beast, Fosse, Chicago, Grease, Ragtime, Miss Saigon, The Lion King, The King and I, City of Angels, Kiss of the Spider Woman, My Favorite Year and Les Miserables. She was also the Los Angeles casting director for National tours of: FAME, 42nd STREET, MISS SAIGON, THE MUSIC MAN and 1776.
