Grippo Stage Company

a 501 (c) (3) public charity

Charles Grippo founded Grippo Stage Company, in 2012, to use theater to fight bigotry and hate, as well as to showcase Jewish themes and playwrights. The IRS recognized Grippo Stage Company, Inc., as a 501 (c) (3) non profit organization in 2014. Grippo Stage Company is registered with the Attorney General of the State of Illinois Charitable Trust Bureau as a public charity (not an endorsement by the Attorney General or the State of Illinois).

In 2016, Grippo Stage Company presented the world premiere of The Ben Hecht Show, written and performed by James Sherman, based on the works of the famous screenwriter/playwright/supporter of Israel. Later that year, Grippo Stage presented, in a co-production with Dennis Zacek, Confessions of A P.I.M.P., written and performed by Tony Award winning (c) actor Andre De Shields.

In 2017 Grippo Stage Company presented a revival of James Sherman’s popular comedy The God of Isaac.
