PRAIRIE LIGHTS
(book by Susan Lieberman, lyrics by David Rush, music by Rosalie Gerut) was just nominated for Best New Work by the Joseph Jefferson Awards (Chicago’s Tonys). PRAIRIE LIGHTS, which had a successful run last holiday season in a Stage Left Theatre production at Theatre Building Chicago, will have a return 6week run this year, opening November 25, 2003 January 3, 2004 at Theatre Building Chicago. PRAIRIE LIGHTS tells the story of Rose and Benjamin Ginsburg who go west on an Orphan Train to Wellspring, Nebraska in 1905 and are adopted by the town’s only Jewish couple just before Chanukah.
