Rory Michelle Sullivan

Rory Michelle Sullivan is singer-songwriter, composer/lyricist/playwright, and Jewish musician/educator. She is currently developing the musical “Rising in Love,” a modern day coming-of-age story about engaged couple Rosie and Scott, their fears and anxieties surrounding their upcoming marriage, and the friends and family who help them grow up. She is a member of the Dramatists Guild and a Jewish Rock Radio artist.

Outside of theatre-making, Rory Michelle writes songs, leads lively and moving song sessions and worship services for Jewish communities, facilitates musical prayer composition workshops, and develops curricula that mine Jewish thought and wisdom for practical application to everyday life.

When not writing songs or plays or singing with Jewish communities, Rory Michelle can be found cooking, baking, doing improv comedy, playing ultimate frisbee, or walking in the forest. She lives in Philadelphia. Learn more about her creative work at and her musical at
