Mara Dresner

My full-length and short plays have been produced by theaters including the American Theatre of Actors, NYC; Federal Theatre Project, Washington, D.C.; College of Siskiyous, California; Finke Theatre, Missouri; The Underground at Duluth Playhouse, Minnesota; and Neillsville Area Players, Wisconsin.

My farce “An Impeccable Larceny” is available through Samuel French and has been translated into Dutch. My play “In Like Flint” was the 2019 winner of the Robert J. Pickering Prize for Playwriting Excellence from the Branch County Community Theatre in Michigan.

I was selected to attend Clamour Theatre Company’s first Clay & Water Playwrights Retreat in Jan. 2019 in Florida. I’m a member of the Dramatists Guild and an award-winning journalist, and the author of “Super-Charge Your Staff Meetings: 52 ways to create fun, meaningful, memorable meetings that your employees will love,” a Grand Award winner from the Awards for Publication Excellence (APEX).

My newest play is “Shiva,” a play about life, death, family and Milano cookies.
