elayne_LeTraunikElayne LeTraunik is founder and formerly Artistic Director of Chicago Jewish Theater and under her direction the theatre presented more than 15 productions, a number of them world or Midwest premieres. She is experienced in production, dramaturgy and research and has national and international contacts with up and coming playwrights.

Some of the plays produced by her theater include “All Through the Night” by Shirley Lauro, new versions of “The Golem” and “A Dybbuk” and “The Stroop Report”. She has assisted in the writing of “Notes from the Warsaw Ghetto” with Australian playwright Neil Cole and is also working with Canadian playwright Philip Pinkus in seeking to showcase his play “The Bureaucrat”.
