Conrad Cohen is an actor, acting teacher, director, and producer currently working towards an MA in Actor Training and Coaching at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He previously trained as an actor at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York and as a director at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in his native Glasgow. He is a qualified teacher currently in the post of Head of Drama at St Margaret’s School in London, England.
Conrad is also curating the theatre strand of Tsitsit, a new Jewish fringe festival running for the first time in October 2021 across the UK. As part of this festival, he is directing and producing a verbatim theatre piece featuring the testimonies of residents of Jewish Care.
In his practice as an actor trainer he is currently exploring how to adapt and combine European and American acting methods for the 21st century actor, and his research is looking to interrogate the Jewish influence on the fields of actor training and performance education.
Conrad’s directing, acting, and teaching CVs are available on request. He also has experience as a dramaturge and dialect coach, in case anyone wishes to learn to emulate his Scottish accent!
