Conrad is a theatre practitioner specialising in directing theatre and teaching acting. Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, he trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York before becoming a qualified teacher. He is currently studying an MA course in Actor Training and Coaching at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, England.

Conrad’s directorial experience includes Rumours by Neil Simon, The Real Inspector Hound by Tom Stoppard, Hands Across the Sea by Noël Coward, and Curtains by Kander & Ebb. His teaching experience includes teaching acting (including duologues, monologues, comedy/farce, Shakespeare, musical theatre, Uta Hagen and Meisner techniques), voice (including dialects), and drama for early years. He has also worked as an Associate Producer for The Telling Company (now the New York Rep) and as a freelance actor.

Current projects include directing a 4-actor production of Macbeth with a small group of high school students, and writing and directing a virtual pantomime, Rapunzel, with The Hill Players in Harrow-on-the-Hill. He is also currently undertaking research into the history of Jewish acting methods and the greater reverberations they represent in the actor-training world; please feel free to contact Conrad to be involved in or discuss this research.
