Harrison Bryanis an award-winning actor, playwright, librettist, producer, and puppeteer. A proud member of The Dramatists Guild of America and The Alliance of Jewish Theatre, Harrison is the 2019 recipient of The NY Innovative Theatre Award, and an awarded-finalist at NYC’s Steven Sondheim's Young Playwrights’ Festival and Red Bull Theatre’s Short Play Festival. Recently recognized by The American Playwright’s Foundation at “The Relentless Awards,” Harrison is also the co-writer/conceptionist of “A HANUKKAH CAROL, or GELT TRIP! The Musical” (featured on CBS, NY JEWISH WEEK, NY POST, THEATERMANIA, and more!) A special industry presentation directed by Marlo Hunter ("2022 Woman To Watch On Broadway"), took place December 2022, alongside a sold out concert at The Green Room 42. His play, "[ WORLD WAR <3 ]," received a special reading Off-Broadway at The Cherry Lane Theatre, as part of their Tuesday TONGUES Reading Series. His play, STILL NOT, was produced as part of the NY International FRINGE Festival, receiving online publication with INDIE THEATRE NOW's "FringeNYC 2016 Collection". In 2020, "THE RUDE MECHANICALS," Eastern WA's Premiere Shakespeare Theatre Company, produced his short play, "In Fair Corona," as part of a Virtual New Play Initiative. In 2014, his short play, "Ophelia Later," was a Finalist for Off-Broadway's Red Bull Theatre's New Short Play Festival. In 2017, "Romeo's Jules," was selected and performed at The Players Theatre Short Play Festival, winning the "Best Of Week" SPF 2017 Award. Harrison's writing has been featured, produced, read, and workshopped Off-Broadway at The Cherry Lane Theatre, MCC's "FreshPlay Festival", Broadway Comedy Club, The BMI Advanced Writer’s Workshop, FringeNYC, The Flea, Playthings Theatre Co., The Irish Rep, The Rude Mechanicals, Ugly Rhino, The Kraine, Open Hydrant, The Players Theatre, The Nuyorican, Dixon Place, People’s Improv Theatre, The Dramatist Guild Fund's Music Hall, Brunch Theatre, West of 10th, Lucky Jacks, Pete's Candy Store, The Green Room 42, NYU, and Boston University. As an actor, Harrison has performed at The Cherry Lane, The Daryl Roth, The Atlantic, The Sheen Center, Theatre Row, Bay Street Theatre, Pioneer Theatre Co., Florida Studio Theatre, Palm Beach Dramaworks, Nebraska Rep., Farmers Alley Theatre, New Rep., The Gallery Players, and Roundhouse Theatre where he received a Helen Hayes Award nom. for his portrayal of Christopher Boone in the Tony Award-winning play "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time."
