Mission Statement
The Jewish Theatre of Bloomington is deeply committed to both Judaism and the theatre. It is our intent to produce works that arise from or reflect the Jewish experience but that also focus on universal issues of the human condition and that are accessible to a diverse audience.

The genre of Jewish theatre is a vibrant performing arts experience with a rich and long standing international history! The JTB proudly takes its place as the only one of its kind located in Indiana.

The Jewish Theatre of Bloomington’s  (JTB) 15th Season

In March, 2020, JTB celebrated its 15th anniversary.  One  hundred  guests enjoyed a   catered  vegetarian dinner,   entertainment by Klezmorchestra, a fantastic Klezmer band , a guitar duo by  students at  Indana University Jacobs School of  Music, and folk   dancing  led by dance instructor,  Leah Savion.

2019/2020 SEASON

May, 2019  – Cherry Docs by David Gow

October, 2019 – Oh God by Anat Gov

May, 2020 – The Wanderers by Anna Ziegler (postponed because of pandemic)

October, 2020 – Flyovers by Jeffrey  Sweet  (Canceled because of pandemic)

December, 2020 – Hanukkah Harriet, by Aaron Ricciardi, a World Premiere, (on hold pending status of pandemic) A collaboration with Stages Bloomington.

2021 SEASON

February, 2021-  A workshop reading  of a new musical, Between Two worlds by Joel Pierson, a collaboration with Ivy Tech Student Productions

May, 2021 – The Wanderers by Anna Ziegler

October, 2021 – Table 17, by Arthur Feinsod
