Nick Amatuzio is a playwright, screenwriter and novelist.

Award Winning American Playwright, Angelo Parra (The Devil’s Music: and Blues of Bessie Smith, Journey of the Heart) had this to say about my work …  http://www.playscriptcoach.com/About- Me.html    playrite@optonline.ne

Recto and Delilah (or Before the Cut) is a whimsical re-thinking of the Samson legend as a satiric and irreverent prequel to the Biblical story.  In this Monty Pythonesque romp, the central figure is the self-absorbed, inept Governor of Gaza, Recto, who, abetted by his fearfully fawning slave Zalduck, obsessively pursues the beautiful but vain and calculating Delilah, who, in turn, has her lascivious eyes on the woman-chasing, reluctant up-and-coming champion of the Israelites, Samson – all played out with brisk, comic pacing.

Cast: 9 with multiple roles for 4

Kelly’s Last Line  (the female version of Mick’s Last Line) is a fast-paced, comic satire in which a dogged but unsuccessful lesbian faces untimely mortality, and finds herself failed by the institutions of marriage, medicine, and organized religion.

Cast: 3 w, 2 m, with multiple roles for 2 w, 1 m.

The American Way (a short one act, originally performed live by the Radio Theatre Project in St. Petersburg, Florida)  is an entertaining, clever, wacky, and sometimes scary satire on American society and gun culture.  Cast: 2 m, 2 w.

Seein’ is Believin’ ** is contemporary farce centered on mysterious happenings in the apartment of Will Emerson, goings on that involve hidden bodies, blood-stained knives, and a potentially lethal tuba.

A defense attorney by trade, Will conducts clandestine homicidal homework in his flat when he could be with his alluring and sexy but attention-starved girlfriend, Cyn Valley.  The play is populated by a cast of quirky and fun characters.

In Seein’ is Believin, all the zany mischief and mayhem seen may not be what they seem.

Cast: 3 m, 2 w, with multiple roles for 2 m, 1 w.

** Finalist in Acadiana Repertory Theatre‘s New Play Exchange 2017.

Two childhood friends, Danny and Joe, pursue their dreams while dealing with the woes of life death and family. Theirs is the plight of the Working Class Hero.

Blood Runs Deep:  Life is cheap in frontier Kentucky when a devil is on the loose.

Based on true events, Blood is about Sheriff Sam Drake and his attempt to reel in the Turner boys who grow up to be more wild than the frontier they live in.

Recto and Delilah (or Before the Cut) is a whimsical re-thinking of the Samson legend as a satiric and irreverent prequel to the Biblical story.

Based on my stage play.
